Visitors like seeing a heart completed. It is always an easy place for them to see how this area has to be finished before I can work on either side. It graphically demonstrates how the threads coming off each side of the heart will go out to be worked into the trail sections, strengthening the lace by joining those areas. They can readily see how important it is to drop off pairs of bobbins to work the next section, and how I then have a choice whether to work on the right or left.
