Sheila demonstrates at both Revolutionary and Civil War events. She is working with a variegated thread, making a nice contrast to the white linen thread that I prefer. This pattern is in the tape lace section of a reference book, but it will be a bookmark when she finishes. This was a new pattern for her this year. Finishing a new pattern sample as a bookmark (when possible) is a great way both to try something new and to have a nice finished item to display.
